Our Mission
Machaneh Mamosh was established by Rabbi Shlomo Menkes in 1995. Its mission is:
· To spread the teachings of chassidut as it was taught to us by our revered Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
· To introduce and enhance the observance of Mitzvoth and the study of Torah.
· To provide programs and activities in rural and natural settings that strengthen the bonds between parents, children and Hashem.
· To strengthen our bond with the land of Israel and its inhabitants.

Mamosh Programs
Since 1995 Machaneh Mamosh has run 11 Gan Israel summer camps, four Mamosh Pesach programs and a number of Shabbatons and holiday events. Machaneh Mamosh also maintains and operates a Mikvah in S. Monica, California.

The Directors
Since 1982, Rabbi & Mrs. Menkes have been on shlichus in S. Monica, California. Rabbi Menkes served as Associate Director of the Chabad House of S. Monica, working with Rabbi Avrohom Levitansky A"H.  Although he is working full time on Machaneh Mamosh programs, he continues to be involved in helping the families and individuals of S. Monica to grow in their observance of Mitzvoth and study of Torah.
Mrs. Menkes served as Talmud Torah teacher and is the Director of Mikvas Chana. She serves as Associate Director of all Machaneh Mamosh programs.
